8 Days, 110 Inches and Counting

That’s the snow story today from Oswego County, and the outside world’s curiosity about the phenomenal lake effect storms also continues to pile up.


A downstate New York perspective comes to us from 1010 WINS all-news radio, serving up stories and pictures, as well as video from the center of the snow belt, to show the world how the hardy but weary CNYers are coping with all this.

“Compare and contrast,” if you will, with snow-poor New York City. As the picture below shows us, they’ve been running snow-making machines around the clock in Central Park, to scrape up ten tons of snow for a winter festival.
